GreenCyber / Privacy
What we collect, and what we do not.
Short, because it needs to be read rather than filed. We advise organisations on privacy for a living, so this page is held to the standard we would apply to a client.
What is collected
Only what you type into a form on this site: your name, your work email address, your organisation, your role and what you tell us is prompting the enquiry. Nothing else is asked for, and nothing is inferred and added. Separately, the Meta Pixel tells Meta about your visit, as set out under Tracking.
Why
To reply to you and to carry out the work you are enquiring about. That is the whole purpose of what you send us. This site runs no marketing sequence and adds nobody to a mailing list without being asked.
Who sees it
What you type into a form is seen by the senior team and the service providers that host this site, and nobody else. The one thing that reaches anyone else is the record of your visit that the Meta Pixel sends to Meta, as set out under Tracking. Beyond that, we do not sell personal information, we do not trade it, and we do not pass it to partners, brokers or vendors. There is no referral arrangement behind anything on this site.
Tracking
This site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta which pages are visited and when a form is sent. We use it to see which of our advertisements work, and to show our advertising to people who have visited and to people like them.
It does not send what you type into a form. Meta does receive what your browser sends to any site it loads from, such as your IP address and the type of browser, and it sets a cookie to recognise a return visit. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may connect the visit to your account. We see totals, such as how many visits an advertisement brought, and are never told who you are.
Meta handles this under its own privacy policy, at facebook.com/privacy/policy, and may hold it outside Australia, including in the United States.
To stop it, block it in your browser, with a content blocker or the browser's own tracking protection, and nothing is sent. Changing your ad preferences in Accounts Centre, in Facebook or Instagram, stops Meta using visits to other sites to choose the advertising you see, but only blocking stops the visit being reported.
How long, and your rights
Enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and for two years after our last contact, then deleted. You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to advisory@greencyber.ai, and we will act inside thirty days.
